Day 84 - Sea Day

Today is a sea day.  It is a welcome break from the travel and shore excursions.  After breakfast Myster attended a lecture by Environmental Scientist Professor David Drewry on "Losing Paradise:  Atolls, Reefs and Coral Cays".  He said it was quite interesting.  I took the time to go through all the paper we had accumulated since the beginning of the cruise and to get rid of stuff we didn't want to save.

At 11:15 am we attended a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Anne-Mari Cornelius.  She made and we tasted Beef Tenderloin with Gouda Cheese Custard and Onion "Cracker" as well as Caramelized Parsnip and Banana with Nutella Powder.  Delicious!

This afternoon we will attend a destination lecture by Jon Fleming on Colombo - A Showpiece for Sri Lanka's Rich Cultural Heritage.

There is a reception for Venetian Society members this evening.  Myster and I will receive a certificate for 100 days sailing with Silversea and will have our picture taken with Captain Corsaro.  Tonight we will dine with the Cruise Director.

Tomorrow is a sea day...
