Day 83 - Yangon, Myanmar

Today is the third day that the ship is docked in Yangon.  Myster had a burning desire to see Shwedagon Pagoda and I was too tired to even consider it.  I went to the Shore Concierge Desk when it opened at 7:45 am and booked a "Taste of Yangon" excursion for him.  At 9:15 am Myster set off.

First stop was Shwedagon Pagoda.  He took the camera with him so these are his pictures.

Next stop was Chaukhtat Gyi Pagoda to see the reclining Buddha.  Here is a picture.  The person in the white shirt at the front of the picture provides an idea of the scale of this Buddha!

Next stop was Karawiek Royal Barge restaurant which is styled in the design of a royal barge.  Here are a couple of pictures.

I stayed on the ship to update this blog and rest.  Myster returned at around 2:30 pm and we went to the pool deck for lunch.

Tomorrow is a sea day...
