We left Amankora Paro Lodge at 9:30 am for the Paro Airport. Our flight left at 11:45 am. We flew DrukAir Economy as we did previously. This airline served us a snack of biscuits and mango juice during the first segment and then lunch and drinks during the second segment. Interesting comparison to our national carrier which serves nothing on domestic flights in economy.
We arrived in Bangkok where we were met by our tour escort there and were driven to the Peninsula Hotel on the Chao Phraya River. It is a stunning hotel! Myster and I had cocktails at the River Bar in the hotel which was right on the water. Magical! We had a complimentary dinner at the River Cafe next to the bar and had great views of the boats on the river.
We retired early. We fly to Singapore early tomorrow morning.
