We had an early breakfast then Myster left with a guide and a fellow traveler to climb to Tiger's Nest. He left around 8:15 am and returned around 2:30 pm. He really enjoyed the experience! He had a leg cramp at the end of the journey but has recovered after a nap and a shower. He took the camera with him and these are his pictures.
Start of the trail with the guide in the lead...
First view of Tiger's Nest...
Getting closer...
Almost there...
Myster's prayer flag (the one with the curled white piece)...
I went to the opening day of Paro Tshechu (festival) held inside the Dzong. Masses of people in traditional dress, bright colours, ancient setting and traditional religious dances. It was amazing. Our guide got us in because he is a registered tour guide. We were very lucky to be able to attend. No pictures as Myster had the camera.
Tomorrow we fly to Bangkok for an overnight stay at the Peninsula Hotel.

Here is a picture of the large tapestry that was raised during the festival I attended. We were positioned on the upper level on the left as you look at the picture. At the bottom of the picture you can see the men holding the roll as it unfurls.
And here is a link to a video of Bhutan taken by Steve McCurry and posted on the Silversea blog:
