Today was a sea day. We started with breakfast in our suite. At 10:00 am we attended a lecture by Michael Buerk entitled " Darwin and Fitzroy - How Two Young Men and One Voyage (in these waters) Changed the World Forever". At 11:00 am we attended a lecture by Jaime Castillo entitled "Using Drones to Research and Protect Cultural Patrimony in Peru".
We had lunch in The Restaurant today and Karolina (the head Wine Sommelier) gave us a red wine tasting of 5 wines available if we did not like the choice for the meal. We picked out a few favourites.
This afternoon we attended a destination lecture by Jon Fleming on Salaverry, Peru - our port for tomorrow.
We had dinner in The Restaurant tonight and enjoyed a bottle of Sponsa Veronese from Italy - one of the wines we tasted at lunch today.
We have a World Map attached to the wall of our suite and we are tracking our travels with a small red magnet. The red magnet is currently off the coast of Peru. A picture appears below.
Tomorrow we are in Salaverry, Peru.....
