Day 25 - Moorea, French Polynesia

We got up at 7:00 am this morning and hustled to the Terrace Cafe for a quick breakfast.  Our excursion on Moorea was scheduled to leave the ship by tender at 8:15.  Silver Whisper anchored at around 8:00 and the ship was cleared by immigration shortly after that.  Our tender left around 8:30 am.

Moorea is a beautiful island.  Today we had sunshine with intermittent clouds.  Our excursion was in an air conditioned bus and that was wonderful.  The temperature was hot and humid!

We drove around the entire island and stopped a number of times for pictures, notably at Belvedere Viewpoint with beautiful views of Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay.  Below are some pictures.

The first picture is of one of the mountains along the drive.

Next is a view of Opunohu Bay from Belvedere Viewpoint.

And here is a picture of one of the 4X4 tour vehicles parked next to our bus at Belvedere Viewpoint.

We caught a tender back to the ship at around 1:00 pm and went for lunch on the pool deck.

We sail for Papeete, Tahiti tonight at 5:00 pm and dock there at 8:00 pm.  We could see Tahiti from one of the lookout locations.

Tonight we dine at La Terrazza with two of our trivia team.  Should be fun!
