43 Days And Counting.....

I have been ticking things off my to do list this weekend.  We applied yesterday for our ETAs for Australia.  Almost instantaneous response with the online application system.  Both ETAs are now in place and are valid until November 2016.  Tick!

I am in the process of booking a tour for the port of Cairns, Australia.  I mentioned the Kuranda Skyrail and Train excursion in my post of September 14, 2016 113 Days And Counting.  I am finalizing arrangements with a private tour company in Cairns.  The ship offers almost the same excursion with the difference being the train service is Heritage Class whereas we have requested an upgrade to the Gold Class service (also described in the previous post).  It is interesting that our cost for the tour with the private tour company, even with the upgrade, is substantially less than the tour would be with the ship.  The other plus is that the tour we are booking is priced in AUD and the ship tour would have been in USD.  Tick!

We took Myster's black suit in to be dry cleaned on Saturday.  Formal nights in the Main Dining Room require tuxedos or dark suits for the men.  Tick!

We downloaded the Time Lapse app for the new camera yesterday.  This app will allow us to take time lapse pictures/video of things such as the night sky on the desert of Dubai excursion, the gondolas and vaporettos on the Grand Canal in Venice and going through the Panama Canal.  Tick!

We purchased some new music for our ancient IPod on Saturday.  We added Adele's new album "25" as well as a few singles that struck my fancy.  "Stompa" by Serena Ryder, "Take Me To Church" by Hozier, "Gang of Rythm" by Walk Off The Earth, "Silver Lining" by First Aid Kit,   "Let's Run" by Grayson Matthews (the song from the Tim Horton's commercial last year).  Our suite on the ship will have an IPod docking station.  I plan to boogie as I unpack the luggage.  Tick!

And the planning continues.....
