Odds and Sods.....
As I mentioned in my post 216 Days And Counting..... (June 3, 2016) my dear friend and past cruising buddy gave us a list of over-the-counter medications and supplies that would be helpful to have on our big adventure. Over the course of the last few months we have purchased the items on her list. We shopped on Tuesdays to get the 20% off senior discount and we spread our purchases out over the months since June in order to avoid a huge credit card bill just before we leave. This past Tuesday we were able to complete our purchases. Tick!
It was also suggested that I ask my doctor for a prescription for an antibiotic to take with us. At my appointment I also asked for a tetanus booster since my last one was over 10 years ago. Got the prescription for Cipro and the booster. Tick!
Two things happened recently that have amplified the building excitement. On Tuesday we got an email from Silversea. Quoting from the email:

Yesterday my pen-pal buddy from Cruise Critic who has been on two Silversea World Cruises (2014, 2015) send me a sneak preview of what to expect on our adventure. It was a video produced by Tracey Fleming (photographer and wife of Jon Fleming who does the destination lectures on the WC). It was given to the 2015 passengers as a complimentary gift. It highlights bits and pieces of the entire cruise...the ports, the food, the entertainment, the lecturers, the WC events all played against the background of music from the various cultures visited. It is amazing! I hope this awesome idea is repeated for 2016!
And, if it is even possible, the excitement continues to build.....
