Our first cruise was a Mediterranean Cruise in 2005. We sailed from Barcelona, Spain and ended in Venice, Italy. Our first experience with cruising was magical. Below is a picture taken in Santorini, Greece. Our cruise ship appears in the center of the picture.
Our second cruise was a Baltic Cruise in 2007. We sailed from Dover, UK to Dover, UK. This was one of my favourite cruises! Most of the ports were easily explored on our own. The scenery was stunning! A picture of breakfast served on our stateroom balcony in the port of Tallinn, Estonia appears below.
Our third cruise was an Eastern Mediterranean Cruise in 2008. We sailed from Athens, Greece to Rome, Italy. This cruise visited a number of ports in Turkey and included Alexandria, Egypt. We were able to visit the Pyramids in Giza. A picture of the Pyramids appears below.
Our fourth cruise was a river cruise in 2009. We sailed along the Rhine and Moselle rivers from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Basel, Switzerland. This was a very relaxed way to travel with the river boat docking in the city center of most places. We would walk off the ship and take walking tours of the beautiful cities. The picture below was taken in Colmar, France in the neighbourhood called Little Venice.
Our fifth cruise was an Alaskan Cruise in 2010. We sailed from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, BC. We were blessed with wonderful weather and the experience was magical. We ate halibut for lunch in almost every port and it was delicious! A picture taken from the balcony of our aft stateroom sailing away from Seward appears below.
Our sixth cruise was a South American Cruise in 2011. We sailed from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Valparaiso, Chile. We had some awesome wine and delicious beef. A picture taken from our aft stateroom balcony of the sail past Tierra del Fuego off the southernmost tip of the South American mainland.
Our seventh cruise was a British Isles Cruise in 2012. We sailed from Southampton, UK to Southampton, UK. We visited many wonderful ports, sampled excellent scotch at Oban and Glenmorangie Distilleries and visited the Guinness Storehouse for a taste in Dublin. Below is a picture of the Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland.
Our eighth and most recent cruise was an Australia/New Zealand Cruise in 2014. We sailed from Sydney, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand. Once again, beautiful ports and interesting experiences. We walked among kangaroos and saw cute koalas. We visited a Maori settlement and were treated to entertaining performances. A picture taken in Picton, New Zealand appears below.
Myster and I will be forever grateful for the shared laughs and fun from our travels with our wonderful friends. They will be with us in spirit on our next adventure on the high seas.
