28 Days And Counting.....

We are now exactly 4 weeks away from sailing.  The time is passing quickly now as we continue to address items on the To Do List.

I purchased our MedJet membership yesterday.  It is valid for a year for the two of us for trips away from home of up to 180 consecutive days.  As mentioned in an earlier post, this membership plan is not medical travel insurance.  It provides emergency medical transportation to the hospital of the member's choice.  It came highly recommended by posters on the Silversea Cruise Critic forums.  Tick!

I set up an appointment next week for a technician from our heating and cooling contractor for a walk through on dealing with the tankless water heater and draining the pipes.  Because the tankless is a gas appliance we did not want to make any mistakes on how to safely turn it off.  There will be a service charge but better safe than sorry.  Tick!

We have an appointment with our house sitter scheduled for tomorrow evening.  I have prepared a list of contact numbers and our trip itinerary along with a set of keys for the house and for the community mailbox.  Tick!

We have usually taken Dukoral before our trips to places where we might encounter nasty health bugs.  It has served us well in the past.  Our two doses apiece are now sitting in the fridge.  The plan is to take the first dose on December 15 and the second dose on December 22.  Tick!

The FedEx shipping instructions for the ship ahead bags are due to be sent to us this week.  The package will include luggage tags and the necessary paperwork.

The cruise tickets and additional information are also being sent out this week.  The silver box will be sent to our travel agent.  We are scheduled to meet with her on December 16.

And the planning continues.....
