My
Cruise Critic contact has been a great resource. Apparently one of
the world cruise rituals is to decorate the door of your suite with magnets
and beads and such. We have never noticed doors being decorated on
other cruises we have taken so this bit of information came as something
of a surprise. According to my contact, there is even some
competition for the best door decorations. Now this is a little out
of my wheelhouse but it sounds like it could be fun. So I am willing
to play along.
My
first thoughts were that I did not want gaudy or too cutesy. And I
wanted only a few items that would represent us somewhat. Also I
wanted to introduce some humour. Keeping that in mind, I found some
things on Etsy.com.

found these neat butterflies magnets:

found this “art” piece to represent Myster and me:
And
for the humour I selected 4 of my favourite Aunty Acid pictures and
printed them. They will be put in plastic sleeves and hung with
magnetic bull clips one at a time, cycling through the four over each
cruise segment.
