"Paleokastritsa
Monastery
Depart
the pier for the scenic, approximate 15.5-mile (about 25-kilometre)
drive northwest to Paleokastritsa. Nestled amidst wooded hills and
sheltered bays, Paleokastritsa is among the most picturesque resorts
on the island of Corfu. Upon arrival, visit the 13th-century
Paleokastritsa Monastery, which is built on a rock and still
inhabited by monks to this day. Take a guided stroll through the
small garden, admire the splendid views, and stop by the Greek
Orthodox Church and small museum, which features rare icons and
books.
Kinopiastes
and Trypa Taverna
Next,
re-board your coach and drive to the beautiful white village of
Kinopiastes. After a short uphill walk through the village to the
nearby Trypa Taverna to sample local snacks accompanied by red
and white wine, and view a folkloric show by performers in
traditional costumes. During the performance, you are invited to join

Afterward,
return to your coach and drive to Corfu Town. Following a brief,
guided walking tour, you may opt to re-board the coach for the brief
return drive to the pier or remain in town for further exploration
and return to the ship via shuttle bus."
