74 Days And Counting.....

For the port of Corfu we have booked an excursion called

A Taste of Corfu.  A description of the tour appears below.

"Paleokastritsa Monastery
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximate 15.5-mile (about 25-kilometre) drive northwest to Paleokastritsa. Nestled amidst wooded hills and sheltered bays, Paleokastritsa is among the most picturesque resorts on the island of Corfu. Upon arrival, visit the 13th-century Paleokastritsa Monastery, which is built on a rock and still inhabited by monks to this day. Take a guided stroll through the small garden, admire the splendid views, and stop by the Greek Orthodox Church and small museum, which features rare icons and books.

Kinopiastes and Trypa Taverna
Next, re-board your coach and drive to the beautiful white village of Kinopiastes. After a short uphill walk through the village to the nearby Trypa Taverna to sample local snacks accompanied by red and white wine, and view a folkloric show by performers in traditional costumes. During the performance, you are invited to join in the dancing

Corfu Town
Afterward, return to your coach and drive to Corfu Town. Following a brief, guided walking tour, you may opt to re-board the coach for the brief return drive to the pier or remain in town for further exploration and return to the ship via shuttle bus."
