I am very excited about a recent find! There is a Canadian blogger currently following approximately the same itinerary as our cruise will take from Oman. His name is Aaron Saunders. He was born in Calgary and currently lives in Vancouver. He is on the Silver Wind, a smaller ship than the one we would be on. The blog entries are labelled Silver Wind Mid East Adventure. Yesterday the ship was on its way to Safaga, Egypt to reach the port today. They encountered high winds and rough waters with at least one huge wave washing up to Mr. Saunder's balcony on deck 7 (sea level is 5 decks below him). Our cruise would be taking this same route.
He writes extensively about life on board the ship with plenty of pictures. Quite a fun read!
