307 Days And Counting.....

The next segment of the cruise goes from Hong Kong to Singapore.  The perk for this segment of the World Cruise is the Junks of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.  Ha Long Bay is among Vietnam's most celebrated attractions and is a designated World Heritage Site. Its seascape offers fantastic sites of fragmented limestone outcroppings, sheer cliffs, huge rock arches and tranquil coves. Many of the rock formations rise from the sea to heights between 300 and 900 feet like green-clad plaster monsters.  We would explore on board traditional junks also known as sampans.  Doesn't that sound cool?

There is another shore excursion that really tickles my fancy.  It is an Evening Trishaw Experience in Singapore.  According to the Silversea website: "Board a three-wheeled trishaw, operating on human power. Before automobiles and scooters, this was the common means of transportation around town. Settle into your vehicle and let the fun begin as your ride takes you through the Little India district. Enjoy the ambiance of this exotic section of Singapore, with aromas of spices, incense and frying foods filling the air. Your vehicle squeezes through the cluttered streets past shops and ornate temples.
This fun-filled trip concludes at the legendary Raffles Hotel where you are treated to the hotel's signature drink, a Singapore Sling. "  Fun, fun, fun!
